Last week we looked at Lanzarote cycling routes, with cultural sights and volcanic landscapes to enjoy. This time, cycling in Menorca is calling. This island is a mountain biker’s paradise. Cycling paths are the veins of Menorca, and with most of them are off-road so you won’t be bothered by the noise of nearby cars.
Follow dry-stone walls through scenic meadows, and discover Bronze Age structures, before dipping your toes into the oceans of the island’s stunning beaches. You’ll find some of the finest beaches at Cala en Blanes, where the sea is calm and the sands are soft between the toes.
Menorca has an extensive network of cycle paths, and many of them are at a beginner level, so you needn’t worry about the little ones struggling to keep up. With such a range of difficulty levels however, there’s something to suit everyone and here are just a few to whet your appetite:
We love cycling in Menorca, and have enjoyed exploring other cycling routes around Europe too.
