From bike rides in Mallorca to spa days in Tuscany, a villa holiday offers the perfect base to explore and enjoy your surroundings, whatever the pace. To give you some holiday inspiration, we’ve picked a selection of high-adrenaline and low-octane activities to add to your bucket-list…

Zip Lining in the Caribbean

Jamaica may be known for its irresistible beaches, but it’s also home to some exotic tropical landscapes. Why not take in the stunning scenery during a zip lining adventure in Montego Bay? A treat for all your senses, the lines flow over citrus trees and rapid waters – and fresh, juicy mangoes and cherries await at the end of the line, so you get a taste of local Jamaican produce. If that’s not enough adventure, try climbing the famous Dunn’s River Falls, a 180ft waterfall at the heart of the island. With shorter routes also available, the falls provide the perfect backdrop for a day of exploration for the whole family.

Walking on the Silvercoast

The western shores of Portugal offer some of the best preserved coastline in Europe. If you fancy a jaunt away from the bustling tourist spots, find the perfect mix of activity and scenic beauty on Rota Vicentina. This network of walking trails stretches for 450km, with a series of routes to suit all interests and walking abilities. For a rural adventure, set off on the Historical Way through traditional villages met by cork tree forests, mountain ranges, valleys and rivers. It’s a haven for hikers and mountain bikers! If a coastal venture sets your heart racing, stroll down the Fisherman’s Trail to uncover hidden beaches, nestled coves and wonderful fishing spots. The sea breeze delightfully complements those incredible views over the Atlantic!

Cycling in Mallorca

If you seek a memorable time in Mallorca, grab your two wheels and cycling gear! You may venture on a trip towards the towering Tramuntana Mountains, or take a leisurely ride along kinder paths. Mallorca’s varied terrain and year-round sun make the island a perfect spot for cyclists of all ages and fitness levels. For holidaymakers wishing for an active getaway with unbeatable coastal views, the south and east of this Balearic wonder have flat lands and tarmacked roads. The hills of the west are a haven for cyclists who crave a little (or big!) challenge. Set yourself up for a new personal best, or take a laid-back cycle to work up your appetite for that delicious evening tapas!

Take a day trip by boat to the island’s Blue Lagoon and drink in the amazing panoramas as you sail. Baroque churches and old farmhouses are dotted about the island, alongside the Ġgantija temples, making the island a sanctuary for exploration and relaxation alike.

Cruises in Cyprus

Take a day trip out to sea in Cyprus and enjoy the stunning coastlines as you sail across the Mediterranean Sea. Take in the beauty and swim in Coral Bay, explore the Sea Caves or relax on St.Georges Island. For animal lovers try Lara Bay, where if you’re lucky you can catch a glimpse of the baby turtles which inhabit the sands. Also popular in Cyprus are the night cruises. Spend your evening relaxing on board and enjoy the stunning views of the Cypriot sunset from the deck.
